On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Fashion is a means of time travelling. I bet you never thought an old pair of jeans could transport you to a different time, eh? If clothes are vintage or vintage inspired, wearing them can make you remember back to a good time you wore them or imagine a time before you existed when someone was sporting the very same look you have on. I basically just described the premise of my blog title - which is cool because today is my 4th blogiversary!

Unfortunately my look does not embody any of the description from above. But these pictures do take me back to a couple weeks ago when I actually wore this outfit and the weather was tolerable without a heavy coat & scarf. It's composed of mostly new-to-me and barely worn pieces. Plus this skirt makes me feel fierce. (Oh and sorry if you were expecting a lot more Mean Girls references in this post considering the title. Like 'fetch', I just couldn't make it happen.)

The great Pete Seeger has died.   A popularizer of folk music from all over the world, and a troubadour for civil rights, workers equity, and the environment, he was 94. Sunshine, parrot tulips, and overstuffed pillows are all little bits of "happy" that put a bounce in my step. I bought myself a bouquet on Friday. On Saturday I used up some eco-fil and wool to make pillows (old fabric from my stash- I think Joel Dewberry). And every moment that I can, I put my face up to the sun and thank it for finally shining down on us! So, I'm sending a little bounce for your step this Monday morning- this tulip is for YOU!

Holiday Swap Reveal Post!

So I hope everyone had an awesome holiday. It reaaaallyy sucks that it is over. I always get so bummed after Christmas because it was such a big build up to an awesome day then BAM! Back to work and life and reality. Boo! I am too overwhelmed right now to post all about my holiday, so I will recap it on Monday.  Anyways, I just love getting packages in the mail, especially this time of year, so when I saw that  Janna  was hosting a Holiday Swap I had to participate ! I got partnered up with Megan and she's awesome! Check out her blog to see what I got for her.
