Graduating in Summer 2014 but Interested in Attending Spring Commencement?

Undergraduate and graduate students (MS candidates) who have two or fewer classes remaining to complete degree requirements after the Spring 2014 term will be eligible to request participation in the spring ceremony. Undergraduates must have a 2.0 minimum GPA, and master’s students must have a 2.7 minimum GPA. Extenuating personal and family circumstances or issues related to the proximity of the student’s home to Atlanta will also be taken into consideration.  Doctoral students who are August degree candidates will be handled on a case-by-case basis depending upon when they are cleared by their major schools and the Office of Graduate Studies as having completed all of their degree requirements. Doctoral students must have a 3.0 minimum GPA to apply. The form to request permission to participate in the spring commencement ceremony will be available on the Commencement website in late January 2014. Apply for Summer 2014 Graduation

The Online Application for Graduation (OAG) for summer 2014 will be open January 16 - February 28.   A ll students who want to graduate in the summer must file  one.  Note that it is free to file the OAG from January 16 - February 14, after which a late fee of $50 will be assessed from February 15 - 28. Information on the OAG and how to file it can be found on the registrar's website here:  http://registrar.gatech.edu/students/oag.php .   If you would like to file a  new application  for graduation in summer 2014, here are the steps that you need to follow.  Please note that this system relies on YOU to be responsible for following through with all the steps.
