On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

Image
Fashion is a means of time travelling. I bet you never thought an old pair of jeans could transport you to a different time, eh? If clothes are vintage or vintage inspired, wearing them can make you remember back to a good time you wore them or imagine a time before you existed when someone was sporting the very same look you have on. I basically just described the premise of my blog title - which is cool because today is my 4th blogiversary! Unfortunately my look does not embody any of the description from above. But these pictures do take me back to a couple weeks ago when I actually wore this outfit and the weather was tolerable without a heavy coat & scarf. It's composed of mostly new-to-me and barely worn pieces. Plus this skirt makes me feel fierce. (Oh and sorry if you were expecting a lot more Mean Girls references in this post considering the title. Like 'fetch', I just couldn't make it happen.) Outfit details - Pink sweaterette, $1 (thrifted) - Floral top,...

Vitamin C

Image
Does wearing orange lipstick count as taking Vitamin C? If so, then I'm going to kick this cold in the butt. I can't actually have most of the medicine needed to take care of a cold because of my stomach issues ; I've tried a couple cough drops and ended up nauseous in the end. I'll take a snotty nose over nausea any day! On Saturday, I pushed through feeling like death, put on clothes, and functioned like a regular member of society. When you look good, you feel good, right? No one will ever know that I've stuffed tissues up the sleeves of this fabulous floral blazer or that my foundation was discreetly covering a red face. Except you because I just told you on my blog. Hey, I'm not very good at keeping my own secrets! Outfit details - Dress, $7 (thrifted) - Floral blazer, $10 (thrifted) - Tights, $5 (Wal-Mart) - Flats, $10 (Wal-Mart) - Necklace, $1 ( Amazon.com ) - Hat, paid w/ GC ( Asos.com ) - Scarf, from my aunt - Lip color, Purty Persimmon by Wet'n...

Reel Life

Image
This weekend I did something that millions of people around the world probably did - and it wasn't work, in case this blazer was throwing you off - I went and saw the Catching Fire movie at a theater! That's a pretty big deal considering I don't like watching movies and I have no idea what the Hunger Games are. I struggled through and tried to enjoy it as much as I could. It was kind of distracting when my sister and I sat in close proximity to two couples and one enjoyed a conversation throughout the entire movie. Who does that?? In other news, I wore this outfit weeks ago and I can't remember why, but it looks super cute and I'm impressed with myself for wearing a blazer despite being lifelong unemployed. You never know when I'll get chance to wear it for real life so I might as well style it for fun now! Outfit details - Floral shirt, $1 (thrifted) - Blazer, $1 (thrifted) - Jeggings, $4 (thrifted) - Jewelry, both from Dani - Booties, $15 (K-Mart, old) - Por...
