Gift of Thrift

Image
Would it still be cool to talk about Christmas? Technically, having gratitude is never out of style and that's exactly the kind of post I want to write about. I had the opportunity to participate in a Secret Santa this year that went by the name Gift of Thrift. As the name implies, whoever took part had to thrift a gift for another person. Such a cool concept, right? I'm so delighted by what I was sent from Nicole of Gypsy in Jasper . She thoughtfully gifted me a red ceramic owl, a fancy little charm bracelet, and a scarf that is so cute, cozy, and a million other happy adjectives. ( Huge thanks, girl!! ) In turn, I got to stalk a blog of my own and sent some thrifted treasures to Vanessa of Vanessa Vancour . It was a lot of fun to thrift for another person and even better to make some new internet friends. Thank you to all the gals that were worked hard to pull this all together! :) To view everyone who swapped presents, visit Nicole's blog for a full link up.

Christmas Haul. I'm especially thankful for the underwear... Christmas day is finally here and I'm in a total food coma. I'm super thankful for all the hard work my mom put into baking lots of treats. (Though she made lots of cookies for Jesus' birthday, I think He would have been cool with an DQ ice-cream cake. But what do I know?) I'm also thankful for the wonderful & thoughtful presents from loved ones near and far away. And I'm super psyched to spend the rest of today chillin' with my family with some games & Christmas themed movies. Now get out of here you filthy animals and go enjoy the day! So Christmas 2013...

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day! Since its already past midnight so its 26 Dec 2013 today! I hope you have a great Christmas this year and have a good time opening up many presents~ :D Did nothing much on Christmas day itself. It just seems like another weekend for boyfriend and I but would be nice if its a long weekend. So, we met up for breakfast and caught a movie in the morning. After which, got to drive back to his house when we napped for 2hrs plus. Sound so no life and no big deal but anyway, its a day for him to have a good rest from work. :D We celebrated Christmas last Saturday and have a X'mas dinner at Carousel; Royal Plaza on Scott. The food was okay with many selection of food. I have also gotten my Christmas present from him that night. It was a Sony DSC-QX10! Oh my! How many camera do I have now? =OOOO Test shot 1, captured indoor under dim lighting. Not bad right? So we went out to try shooting too. Many people that night~ Test shot 2, captured outdoor at nigh...

Favorite Christmas Flicks

What is Christmas without some movies to get you into the spirit? Admittedly, I just watched Mannequin which is about a store in the 80's and the furthest thing from this subject. But here are some other films I'll be catching up with this weekend! 1. Home Alone 1 & 2 It's long been argued that #2 didn't live up to #1. Those people are stupid and clearly did not see number 4 or 5. Without #2 we'd never have Duncan's Toy Chest, the Talkboy, and most importantly the sticky bandits! 2. Ernest Saves Christmas If there was ever a holiday or any semi-major life event, then you can count on Ernest to have made a movie about it. This Christmas one is a favorite of mine and I'm always impressed with his impressions. Can I just be like him already?? 3. Jingle All The Way Arnold Schwarzenegger doing a children's Christmas film. Enough said. 4. I'll Be Home For Christmas A Santa suit has never looked better than when JTT wears it in this movie! 5. National L...
