Holiday Swap Reveal Post!

So I hope everyone had an awesome holiday. It reaaaallyy sucks that it is over. I always get so bummed after Christmas because it was such a big build up to an awesome day then BAM! Back to work and life and reality. Boo! I am too overwhelmed right now to post all about my holiday, so I will recap it on Monday.  Anyways, I just love getting packages in the mail, especially this time of year, so when I saw that  Janna  was hosting a Holiday Swap I had to participate ! I got partnered up with Megan and she's awesome! Check out her blog to see what I got for her. Alright, here's what you're all waiting for, what Megan got for me:  1- The cutest little tin with mint hot chocolate inside, yum! I already had some :-) 2- Essie Fishnet Stockings Nail Polish. a love letter to me

I think that everyone looks for love and it’s common, but for love to find you is what’s special. I think that love means something different to each person walking on this earth, for some it’s to find peace, for some it’s to not feel so alone, and for some it’s to find a partner; someone to love life with. For me I don’t think I’m ready to find love again. I want to fall in love with myself first. I want to experience the world on my own and know what that feels like before I let someone in on it. In my opinion, you have to do that first or you don’t know what it feels like when you fall in love. That life-altering shift in your gut that tells you that you couldn’t live any other way and you don’t know how you thought life was enough before. I want to experience moments. I want to know that I never took anything for granted and even if no one else was there for me, I was there for myself. This is a love letter to me. Fall in love with the way that you’re not perfect. A Wonderful Morning with Andy Griffiths!

Hip, hip, hooray! Today was Andy Griffiths Day in my school library! I've never heard kids laugh so hard during an author visit, but Andy never lost "control" of the audience. My kids knew when it was time to listen to his next joke and story. I'm so happy that he's visiting with Mr. Sharp's and Mr. Jonker's students later in the week. I love when I teach classes right after an author visit because it allows me to get immediate feedback from my students. According to my first and second graders... *Andy Griffiths is a really fun guy. * He traveled far to visit our school. I’m happy I got to meet him. *Andy told us how he created the treehouse in the Treehouse series. *Andy is a good author. * He was so nice to every person during the book signing. *He is wonderful. * Andy is very good at writing books. * I think he is the silliest author who has ever visited our school library.
